Location Shots
This shot of a pre-constructed building is one of the first things you see when exiting the the Reading station underpass from the north side. This is where the camera tilts upwards displaying the scale of the large building. This could display an important location later in the film if it were fully constructed. The upwards tilt correlates with the rise of the renegades vigilante acts. These stairs also acted as a barrier to shield the camera from any random citizens coming out of the Reading station, this benefits us due no members of public making eye contact with the camera.
The Reading station underpass was used due to the leading lines crafted within the tunnel directing the viewer to the centre of the shot were the renegade is walking. We also played with the light variating from the different sides of the tunnel. The Renegades dark beginning/past eventually helping to lighten the tone of the city giving the citizens of reading hope whilst remaining oblivious to the people he is protecting.
We had chosen this specific location because of the emptiness and the amount of light emitted by the aged bulbs. This was shot on the second highest level of the car park meaning that we had the whole level to take as long as we needed without disturbance.I had taken the image below testing the aperture, shutter speed and ISO. This was how we were able to capture a gritty effect through the lense ( creating a slow shutter speed enabled less light to enter the camera )
The image to the left is a picture I had taken of Harry directing Spencer to walk from into the shot turning on the motion sensitive lights as he strolls down the path. This is the shot shown at the end of the title sequence. Non diegetic footsteps will be added as the full shot of the renegade walking slowly fades to black.
