Character Inspiration
Character-1: Rorschach
Rorschach’s character is reflected in his clothing. His clothing makes the image seem as it were taken in monotone. The use of the trench coat signifies that he is a street level her. Rorschach’s costume was chosen as inspiration due to the slick presentation and formality it displays. We want to capture a cryptic style similar to this one without plagiarising the look.
Similar to Rorschach red hood uses a jacket to capture the urban
vigilant look. I feel as a helmet similar to this would be a pleasant accessory
to the renegades costume but in doing so it would have to look as professional as
possible (to avoid a tacky feel defeating the overall tone.)
creating something of this quality would not only take time to manufacture
it would also be very costly and not arrive in time for production.
A look like this is what we would move towards if we scrap he trench coat concept. another factor this encapsulates is the fact that this suit lacks any tone of vibrant colours. Because of this not only can the renegade disappear into crowds of people but vanish from crime scenes completely. The black out suit adds mystery to the powered subject and if used correctly I think that this can look intimidating to audiences.
