Evaluation 3 & 4

 Evaluation 3

How did you use new media technologies in the construction and research , planning and evaluation stages?

Positive
The initial response we had gotten from audience members were fairly positive. This encapsulates the effective ness of genre in relation to our target audience. In terms of the way we used camera we had received feedback regarding the good use of close shots. Our use of editing worked better than we initially expected. The comments regarding our editing varieted from the effective use of colour correction to our use of transitions. The colour correction helped emulate the mood of each scene and our use of transitions guided the viewer further into music video. Keeping the video visually interesting helps the audience. Our use of editing was also praised due to the method of cutting the filmed shots to the music. The videos casting for both protagonists where said to be fitting and collaborated well with the lyrics and videos concept. There are also some elements of the video shown to be effective due to the audience not noticing or bringing them up. Such as editing being used to stabilize shaky shots.

Negative
Any negative elements where conveyed to be quite minor in terms of the whole project. This included parts of the video where G Eazy’s character (Ben Tressider) wasn't fully synced to the backing track, this is only noticeable due to the overlapping of a couple words in the song. A lot of questions regarding the secondary character (played by me) were asked. Such as where is the character always going, how did I become linked to drug use and the reason for knowing G Eazy. Maybe this emulated a sense of the wanted closure in relation to the vagueness we presented our characters within the music video. I also showed the project
